Of the second game in the series.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/cosmicfrontier/cosmic-frontier-override

it was a neat little space sim series that was mostly popular on MACs back in the 90s and early 2000s. The company went defunct and now the rights of the second game went back to the writer, whos teamed up with another former staff member to remaster the game.

if anyones interested in space sim games, the original games can be found on reddit. Theyre simple, fun to dick around in and easy to jump in and out of.

@Fossil i know youre interested pepperoni nips.

Holy smokes. I loved these games, although I never played much of Nova. Override was the one I played the most.

yeah override was my go to over nova, i think because i enjoyed the overall plots and more cartoony sprites over the more realistic ones. I should go back to nova though and replay some of the storylines i didnt do.

I remember seeing these games in the early 2000s but I never had a chance to play them. It looks like something I really would have loved.

nova has a windows version, and there are plugins you can get that turn nova into the first two games.

the first game is really....rough around the edges without mods. Override and nova though are fantastic in their own right.

but r/evnova has links to get you the games and available mods for them if you were interested in trying them out. They really are wonderful little games.
