Nintendo estimates about 160k accounts were accessed in a recent hacking attempt. Go to your My Nintendo account, go to Account Settings (upper-right corner), then on the settings page, go to Sign-In and Security Settings and at the bottom is an option for 2-Step. Glad I managed to do this back when I was migrating away from Apple's iCloud Keychain. Logging into every account and looking for 2FA was such a headache but I guess it worked out.

Holy shit, even Nintendo's 2FA is inconvenient and out of touch. Rather than just using your email or a phone number, you need to install Google Authenticator on your phone.
