Mulholland Dr.

Was it the Llorando scene that got you? This was the first Lynch movie I ever watched & my second experience with a Lynch project after the first two seasons of TP, so while I was relatively familiar with his style at the time I still didn't fully understand it... so when I saw that scene for the first time I was more scared than sad IIRC. Rewatches of the scene get to me now though

But on that note I'm pretty sure Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me (1992) & The Straight Story (1999) did make me cry, actually

Yeah it was. That scene had an odd effect on me. I'd start off reacting to it emotionally but when Del Rio falls to the ground and Betty & Rita realize what's going on I would feel... cold I guess?

Follow-up question: Do any of you have movies you haven't seen, but feel confident would make you cry if you did? I have a few:
Make Way for Tomorrow (1937)
Clo from 5 to 7 (1962)
Au Hasard Balthazar (1966)
It's Such a Beautiful Day (2012)
No Home Movie (2015)

Very few know this, but I'm an incredible softy. Case in point, Wings, a silent movie from the 1920s, made me tear up.
