Current Events > So i called the Texas Department of Labor on my company

Since The first week of March theyve been withholding my checks and have only paid me for one week. Because of corona they had to close down multiple jobsites and the general contractors arent paying my company therefore my company cant afford to pay us. My jobsite however is still going and im still working with nothing to show for it. Today we were supposed to get a check promised to us but we did bot receive it. I called accounting and the lady told me not call her anymore, only go through my foreman and he'll deal with it. HR hasnt returned our calls in days. I called the texas department of labor wages and hours division and they opened up an investigation on my company. Will hear back from them Monday.

You shouldn't need an attorney, the labor department employs them for this reason. Just make sure to document shit.

Yeah when we found out we werent getting our checks i rushed over to pur sign-in binder and took pictures of everything. Has our names, dates, foremans signature on every page and hours worked.
