There is no guarantee they will and the thousands I save not having kids will pay for elder care.

This is a weird one to me. I grew up getting physical discipline from my parents. My parents absolutely loved my without question. Just because they used physical discipline doesnt mean that physically abused me. Growing up.. the kids that werent getting physically disciplined where always the awful kids. Yelling back at their parents constantly. Telling them No at all times. It was very awkward and disrespectful. Especially when the parents were always so nice about it. I always ended up distancing myself from those friends who acted like that.

Now that Im an adult, I feel like my parents made the right decision. I feel all of us are well trained individuals my parents dont have to worry about in their older age. We have no one with a criminal record, no one addicted to any drugs, no one stuck living with their parents.

Even now, my brother has 2 kids from 2 different women. This sounds really awful but it was a 1 time mistake that got her pregnant. The other is from his wife. Im sure he learned from that. He made sure to always be in his sons life at all times from the start. He was more strict on his older son vs his younger son. I think his wife was more like CE where she is heavily against physical discipline unless she feels its absolutely necessary. So its very rare. His older son is extremely well behaved and its clear he loves my brother with all his heart even with that. His younger son is not that... great... Often talking back and refusing to listen. Doing some really bad stuff at times. The only correlation I see there is one was disciplined a lot more than the other.

I know that we could be different from the world but I cant really give my input on the entire world. I can only give my perspective. If there is a correct way to effectively discipline children to have the exact same results then Im all for that. Just grounding or taking away things they care about seem to cause more issues at a young age than at an older age. Just my opinion

I'd beat em to an inch of their life. Break their bones, flay their skin, poke holes in their condoms, superglue their lego.

This is why I have zero plans to ever attempt to have a child and if one did come up to me with proof. I'd beat my genitals for somehow betraying me.

But seriously I'd probably harm them eventually due to an issue I've developed/noticed years ago. I don't ever intend harm (99% of the time), but things happen. I've mostly curbed it, but it still tries to slip out. So I don't want em for that and several other reasons. I'd make a not great parent.
Don't beat your kids.

I don't do switches or belts or closed fist like you would get for trying the G status of your old man but I do give the kid a single pop if she's just not listening and doing big gurl tings.

your opinion is based on anecdotal evidence, and it is incorrect.

there are major studies now that disprove your ideas

Hilarious of you to assume that 1. everyone's gonna live to old age (or even wants to) and 2. that anyone would care about for your old, dying ass.

You think there aren't kids that were physically punished that talk back, act out and take drugs?

You are for thinking a good disciplinary spanking is beating your kids and then calling people scum for disagreeing with you. That's what scummy people do.
