It's not the first book I've read about 1960s counterculture, or about the 1960s in general, but it was certainly good. The Beats, the hippies, people like Ken Kesey (how is this pronounced?) and Tim Leary. Lots of very good information, even if I knew a lot of it already. I wish I could've been there, 1967 - 1969. Not so much, for Altamount.
