Why? It's spreading pretty fucking quick, I live in the most densely populated city and i believe they have the second most coronavirus cases in the United States atm. I'll probably get it in about a month or so tbh

Though we don't have that many cases here in Australia, comparatively speaking, I think that eventually it will spread to my neck of the woods. Not sure when though. My local isn't known for it's middle-eastern population density, nor touristy enough to attract the Chinese market.

I live in Seattle, which atm has the most cases and deaths in the US. Whats your point?

The virus is rare. Sure there are a ton of cases but there are millions of people here. Gov. Inslee said that a worst case scenario we would have 60,000 cases by May. But out of millions of people? Its still super unlikely that you will get it.

Literally take standard precautions like washing your hands and not touching your face and you will be fine

There's a chance. Outbreak has hit my region. I'm not as worried about me - sure, life will probably suck for a week or two - as I am my dad. He's in his mid-60s, already survived a heart attack, and isn't in great health.

That tweet you posted isnt an oracle either. And Im not going to be reading that topic because its full of content from random cemen derived to induce panic.

Im not saying that the Coronavirus isnt a problem. Its a pandemic, I agree. Drastic measures need to be taken to slow the progress. However, the likelihood that you, as a singular person, will contract is highly highly highly unlikely.

Estimates show up tp 70% infection rate. It's pretty believable that a person will get it at one point or another.

The tweet thread I posted indeed isn't an oracle, it's someone living the experience RIGHT NOW. China is battling the pandemic, Italy is battling the pandemic. Look at what they're doing and what the US is doing to prepare for it. They're not doing a good job at all. They're not testing as much as they should be doing, the C.D.C. hasn't been giving proper support, all while downplaying how serious the virus is. China is even laughing at the US for how they're handling it and other countries are quite fed up with the US' performance currently. The US has the highest death rate so far as they've barely done any testing. That should tell you that you need to stop having blind faith in your government and start doing your research on what's going on as you're going to get caught blindsided at this rate.
