Not a lot of news or big releases. Biggest release is probably Kakorot so far?

Biggest news is Wonderful 101 Remaster and Warcraft 3 Reforged being a disaster.

I guess it's the calm before the storm. I don't mind. Great time to catch up on older stuff.

I'm excited for Animal Crossing and then Cyberpunk. I'll probably buy Doom and RE but I really dont give too much a shit about them.

Cyberpunk has been delayed until September and I think things will probably get crazy around then.

No idea when the next gen news will start flowing in. I would have thought we'd know the PS5 conference date by now and that Microsoft wouldn't have revealed anything yet.

Sony said they are waiting for MS to make the first move, as far as pricing is concerned.

From what I remember last gen it was;
- Sony announces PS4 conference in late January. First time they publically acknowledged it
- Reveal conference in February that showed off some games, the improved tech and features
- E3 conference reveals console design and price

For Xbox;
- Xbox One reveal a couple of weeks before E3. Showed off TV and OS stuff and console design
- E3 conference about games and price

This time we've had Xbox reveal their name and design last December and Sony talking about tech stuff in Wired articles. Neither company has said a peep this year so far. We know Sony isn't appearing at E3 so maybe they're gonna blow their load mid this year. Microsoft will probably wait until then now.

Oh yeah Ori and the Will of the Wisps is only a month away. I'm playing the first one now so who knows if I'll be burnt out but I'm guessing that one is gonna be a great.

Ehh, I've been catching up on stuff. The last Three Houses DLC drops soon, and SFV Championship Edition is out in a few days too. I might get both.

Past that, March and April have a lot, though I only personally plan to snag Animal Crossing right away from those.

pretty quiet compared to last year. For me there's been the last act of kentucky route zero (finally), and wolcen which comes out of beta in a day or so (also finally). I think ori is the next game on my radar after wolcen

Its always slow until March

Last year had
- Ace Combat 7
- Apex Legends
- Travis Strikes Again
- Slay the Spire
- Resident Evil 2
- Kingdom Hearts 3
- Tetris 99
- Crackdown 3
- Far Cry New Dawn
- Metro Exodus
- Jump Force
- Anthem

Before March even hit.

I'm not talking just games wise I'm talking news as well. News wise you had Bungie going independent and massive Epic Store controversies. Pretty sure there was a Nintendo Direct too.

I know not all of those games were good but stuff like Anthem's disaster launch was big news. This year has barely anything in comparison. Not even new stuff to play but new stuff to talk about.

Pretty sure early 2017 and 2018 were even bigger.

Cyberpunk too.

I made a post about this a few weeks back, but there were like 5 or 6 games that were going to be released in early 2020, but eventually got pushed bank

Ori & The Blind Forest was set for Feb 11th (March 11 now)
Last of Us 2 was originally Feb 21st (May 29 now)
That Gods & Monsters game by Ubisoft was supposed to be Feb 25th (Q3/4 now)
Final Fantasy 7 was going to be March 3 (April 10 now)
Watch Dogs Legion was originally March 6 (Q3/4 now)
Cyberpunk was going to be April 16 (Sept 17 now)

There are probably more, but these are just the ones I can remember getting delays

I listed duds in the OP too.

Again I'm not only talking about quality. I'm saying that there's literally barely anything going on in the gaming scene right now. It's quiet.

Yeah I said early 2020. I'm talking like January to March. Things start picking up more in April.

I don't remember the last three month period where so little was going on. The biggest releases will be Doom Eternal and Ori 2.
