Your immediate decision rather than helping him get through that and teach him how to create lovely life for himself despite such setbacks is to take his ten-year-old ass on a foot journey across the entire fucking known world on a quest you know will end with his death, because if he brings the Calm to the people, they will stop bullying him.
Fucking what. Keep in mind that supposedly the whole guardian becomes a final aeon shit is secret knowledge so to his mom, this decision was made knowing only that it would cause her son's death and she would probably be fine. Then it's revealed that the final aeon is made from a guardian and she chooses to become this final aeon. Meaning she willingly takes on the act of murdering her son. Who, again, is like 10 or 12. What a fucking bitch. Then as if that isn't enough, when you visit her Fayth in Baaj Temple she basically just shits all over him. She even says some nonsense like "Oh I became a Fayth so he could learn to live by himself", which is basically just a lie (a psychotically shitty one at that) to try to cover up the fact that she became one to fucking kill him.
