I made this years ago. It's kind of weird but it was fun to make. It was super old school animation with an oxberry camera

Oh bro that was really cool!! The scribbly coloring looks neat in motion. Do you have any other animation stuff?

The scribbly look involved drawing things three times over, I wanted to get boiling lines like in Ed edd n Eddy but had no idea how it would look in motion until we got our film back a few weeks after photographing the cels.

I have more, but it's in a hard drive at my family's house on the other side of the country. This was the only one I ever put online.

I used layers. The paper wasn't completely see-through but it was enough with a bright light shone through. The layers at the bottom came out blurry compared to the ones on the top, so if you see a blurry object, that's why.

Though I did redraw most images a few times and swap out the papers to give it a squiggly effect. And there was one scene I had to draw 44 times.

Thanks guys for the compliments, I have a few scans of some of the original pages I used and some of the planning. Here they are since some of you seem a bit interested. You can also see that the wind was originally gonna blow off his hat, billow in it, and then flow out before he put it back on his head:

That's pretty cool. How long does something like that take to do?
It took a lot of hours to make this animation and a lot of it is because of how old-fashioned it was. Something that a modern animator could do with a computer in a second I had to hand-calculate and plan, which you can see some of below. Today I can just vaguely remember what my little scribblings at the bottom mean

Oh I found a couple of my other animations on my computer after searching. They are very short.

This one was with paper cut-outs, like how South Park used to be made: https://streamable.com/1u0yn
The file was named "Ducks quack quack" so it's no wonder it was hard to search for in my computer lol

And this was a strip of paper I put in a praxinoscope, which rotates around and uses mirrors to animate a short loop. It's a Hoothoot pokemon jumping up and down: https://streamable.com/qj7dr

I also found a photo I took while I was recording the cels. This is two layers of paper, on top of a machine that's beaming a bright light through them. Above it is the camera which you use to take the pictures. You have to lock the papers carefully in place and calculate how much to move each paper frame by frame to get things to move around. And also you need to adjust the camera above if you want to zoom in or out or do other movements. You can see how the layer underneath is blurred by the top layer. The machine presses them together so it wasn't THAT blurry.
