Killmonger 01/25/20 4:32:14 PM #1:	A four-year-old Indiana boy has died days after he and his father were both shot in the head with the same bullet that discharged from a concealed gun while the pair were play wrestling. The tragic shooting occurred Sunday at the family's home in Bloomington. Tyler Shaw, 36, was wrestling on a bed with his son Tripp when the handgun he had tucked into the back of his pants fell and fired one shot. The bullet struck both Shaw and his son in the head. Tripp was taken in critical condition to Riley Children's Hospital, where he died four days later on Thursday. Shaw was taken to IU Health Bloomington Hospital and is expected to recover. A GoFundMe campaign was set up to help Shaw and his wife, Natalie, who are also parents to two young daughters, cover medical costs. The campaign has raised more than $19,100 as of Saturday afternoon. 'It truly takes a village and I pray that the burden of medical debt will not cloud over their grief,' Tripp's aunt, Nikki Hughes, wrote in a Facebook post. The Glock semi-automatic handgun was sent off for testing to determine why it had fired unexpectedly, according to the Bloomington Herald-Times. Officials have not said whether any charges will be filed in connection with the shooting. Modern glocks have both a trigger safety and a drop safety, which makes it extremely odd that this one discharged like this. Not just modern glocks, but all glocks have these features, in addition to a firing pin safety. Unless the guy had messed with the mechanism that blocks the striker from firing, or messed with the firing pin safety, it's unlikely that either mechanisms failed. I'm not saying the guy intentionally shot himself and his son, but the chances that a glock just happened to fire when dropping a few feet is extremely unlikely, unless the safety mechanics were tampered with. --- Power concedes nothing without a demand. <cite>StucklnMyPants posted [p:933820159] in Four-year-...
