....unaggressive? Have you ever heard people say that most cops have to behave very aggressively generally or else they really couldn't do their job? Do you agree with this?

Depends. Some people you need to show that you arent playing. But 99% of cases you can get through it without aggression.

There's gotta be a happy medium, imo. You can't be buddy-buddy with them, but you can't pull out your gun at the first sign of resistance.

Maybe a bit like parenting. You need to be stern and let them know what's up but you shouldn't be too lax or too aggressive.

i'm good friends with a cop and he says the job changes you. you can go in being the most happy go lucky guy but eventually the job takes its toll on you and you're forced to adapt and become someone you probably wouldn't be proud of.

Cops have to deal with lots of different types of people, and the same thing doesn't work for all of them. On top of that, between crimes and emergencies they often have to encounter people who are at their worst or lowest point.

This is a good point.

In law enforcement it's good to have a level head because literally anything can happen.
