Oh man, that was funny, wasn't it! And Dark Souls 1. You know, a year later, and I still have no real idea how to play or progress through DS or Smash. I did start to like Smash a little, however. Not much. Bit a little. I still don't know why people got so angry over that stuff.

Is there a specific dodge button, or do you just mean, you know...move? I mean, the way some third-person-shooters, e.g. Gears of War, have a specific cover button.

Yes, dodging is a big part of the game. Its how you activate Witch Time

Im 99.9% sure the game teaches this to you in the first level

Yeah you need to press the button right before you get hit and she will dodge it and enter witch time. That is the main gimmick and if you don't use it the game is basically impossible. When I played the demo I forgot about dodging and had the same experience, then when I remembered it I was suddenly able to get into it and beat the demo

This may sound weird but go watch a video of someone beating the level and get pointers from it.

I know I have learned many tricks and techniques I never knew about before from watching others play especially speedruns.
