Beat it at launch; is it worth a replay with all the DLCs and the updated Chapter 13?

Thinking of purchasing the complete PC version for $20 (instead of buying DLCs on my PS4 one I have for $10) and doing a complete replay.

It's basically a different game from what it was at launch. Might as well try it

I really can't imagine having played the original game and no DLC. The DLC is what makes it a complete game.

It was ridiculous for SE to release the game in its original state.

That's good; how so? I remember when playing it, parts of the game just didn't look finished (the fight with leviathan), the plot jumped all over the place, and I had no idea what was going on (turns out you had to watch a movie and an anime series to get the full story).

The car can go on the fields, you can play as other party members instead of just Noctis, they changed Noctis auger mode or whatever. That's about all I know

The movie and anime should have just been integrated into the main game as cutscenes. Would have only added 3 or so more hours to the game which is nothing for a JRPG.

The movie and anime don't really add that much to the story. Everything important about the movie is brought up in the game, and the anime is mostly just backstory on how Noctis met the other party members.

Not to say they aren't worth a watch, as they do go into more detail of those events than the main game, but you don't really miss out on anything substantial by skipping them.
