Nah, Milwaukee was expected to be great this season, no one had Dallas doing this well let alone holding down a top four playoff spot in the west while knocking off some of the NBAs heavyweights along the way.

The voters don't care about any of that. If they both keep going on their current trajectory through the finish of the season, Giannis will win.

Of course voters care about that, you might not but the people voting look at things like that. Luka is also in a tougher division/conference in his second year and is arguably a top three to five player in the league.

Dallas was a lottery team last season, Milwaukee finished last season as the only team to crack 60 wins, the Bucks were expected to be great, Dallas was supposed to improve marginally, maybe flirt with a low playoff seed, not be this good.

you could just tell those early years in the euro pro leagues have left him miles ahead of a college draftees.

He's good and phenomenal for his age, but is not the MVP. The Mavs played great without him, even beating the Bucks. You can't be the most valuable player when your team doesn't even need you to win.

Euro players still learn the fundamentals. I expect Luka to shine as long as his body holds up.

Mr Antetokounmpo is great and his IQ is improving as well. I'd say he and Doncic are prime MVP candidates as long as they can physically perform.
