I'm confused. Wasnt Cintra overrun? Isn't Ciri on the run? Wasnt the queen killed? But Geralt is in Cintra right now talking to the queen.

For some reason they decided to do things in different timelines without clearly indicating it to the audience until episode 5 I think. It doesn't lead to any big twists or reveals which has a lot of people scratching their heads about their approach. It's my only gripe with the show.

Aww, I suppose it mostly becomes clear by the end of the ep. Also weird bc the actress who plays Pavetta looks incredibly similar to Ciri.

So how far in the past was hunchback yen? I guess thre yen we see in ep 4 has been working as a mage for a good bit.

My only gripe was a caption to timelines. Posting a year or something like "20 years earlier" to start the flashback scenes would have helped a lot.

I think this was a choice they made, its a certain way of storytelling, I like it and I hope they can keep this way of storytelling in the next seasons.
