They couldn't afford to unless they fit the unveiling into a 10-30 second commercial. Superbowl commercial timeslots are fucking insane. Its $166,660 per second of SB ad time. Wouldn't be worth the investment imo because everyone that plays games and watches football already knows its coming.

It wouldn't be worth it to blow 2.5 million for a 15 second ad which is way too short to unveil a console unless they have an event shortly after or the next day and have an ad for the unveiling. Yeah I kind of hope the PS5 looks something like the dev kit to stand in contrast to how boring the Series X is.
