First off, Ive never read the book nor watched the other adaptions

but I loved this movie. The cast is so great (the girl from Midsommar was a standout, WOW) and the story is so wholesome and it definitely left me in better spirits when I left the theater

I don't really know much on the plot, but I know it's based on a famous book I have never read. Its one of the most important novels for feminists I think. and many jr high girls read it, I am told.

there is also a sequel called Little Men. but it's not as popular as the first one

Interesting. I've read the novel, and saw a cartoon drama series of it as a kid. Might go see it when it's released here.

I mean, aside from that lol. But you do need a balance of happy and sad.

There's an early scene where they all get ready for Christmas dinner and the mom asks her daughters if they would like to donate the food to a family in need. It was so wholesome, I was not expecting that. God I loved the movie so much <3
