Eh, it looks like it'd be like fighting with a staff and it separates.

With a staff you have weight and momentum to work with, a double bladed lightsaber is weighless except for the center so you would have to be constantly hyper alert not to cut yourself in two whenever you use it

Only thing I liked was the beam's fiery appearance and sound. Not as stable or light as any of the Sith sabers in PT/OT.

The cross guard served no real purpose and anyone with a brain knows it.

But when you think about it lightsabers are all pretty impractical if not for the Force because the weight distribution would be totally off compared to other weapons.

It was unstable because the kyber crystal inside is cracked. The crossguard is actually to vent excess energy

knights of ren *spoilers* purposely burn themselves with lightsabers. Ren holds the lightsaber in his hand in a live by the blade, die by the blade moment. implied the darkside of the force protects them from worse lightsaber wounds. the knights of ren try recruit brothers and explain theyre accepted into the knights of ren based on the force.

It's probably my second or third favorite in the whole series. Anakin/Luke/Rey's blue saber will always be the most iconic to me, though.

Weirdly enough, Rey's new saber is the one I'm thinking about putting in second above Kylo Ren's. I love the way it has a thumb gear ignition rather than a button.

Episode two: dual wielding Anakin and Dooku's 'fencing' sabre.
Episode three: blue on blue

I think it's pretty cool. I like how it handles like a large broadsword and Kylo Ren does look really badass when he's fighting with it.

In the Force Awakens I liked how it buzzes violently, it really adds to the effect of Kylo's rage and inner conflict.

Similiar to weapon with spiked handles you sometimes see in fantasy. It looks cool, but it seems impractical given the purpose of a crossguard is to protect your hand. Seems like a good way to accidently hurt yourself.

Yeah, but that was long after TPM and AotC. I meant that in the EU, Exar Kun was the first. Then Darth Maul and then later on, others followed. I didn't mean chronologically, though Bastila was still after Exar.
