Lol hmmm.

Though they do have some primitive form of television, so maybe that's a clue. Maybe they can have a computer tower made of stone with 2 squirrels running on a hamster wheel inside powering the PC. It communicates with other people via morse code or something...but even that hadn't been invented yet obviously.

It would have been a dumb pun based on "world wide web" and there would have been a phone-line-like series of spider webs all around Bedrock. The spider in Fred's house would wiggle its web which would wiggle its way down the "phone line" until it got to Mr. Slate's house where Slate's spider would quickly use its web to "print" the email or picture or whatever that Fred sent.
