I was told the stories in Ys weren't really linked. But I just got to a part in Ys 7 where they recognized a character who was apparently from the previous game.
Thing is, Ys 6's review consensus didn't seem good enough for me to try to get a ps2 version of the game to play. So I'm wondering if I'm missing out on story connections. ... Copied to Clipboard!

you don't miss anything but some reference, but Ys6 is still a good game. it pales compared to other 2.5D games but it;s still worth playing
