It will always be a thing. It's called a "Mission" and men can do it at 18 and women at 21. The church chooses a location in the world to send you to for 2 years and you teach the gospel of Mormonism to folks.
Yes, it can be dangerous. Yes, I've known folks who get stationed in 3rd world countries like Guatamala or other places in South America and it can be quite scary I am told. Some folks brandish weapons and threaten, etc. --- Ohh boy ... Copied to Clipboard!
