And they are the big waste of plastic. It always looks weird to me opening that large of a case for a small SD card.I don't know why they didn't use 3ds sized boxes since the SD cards would fit them.

I dunno.. 3ds cases are thicker.

But i assume its for protection.

Probably a perception thing. They're upping the price to $60, so when people walking into a store that can't tell a Wii from a PS4 they don't they're overpaying for something they were playing $40 for.

You may think nobody would be that dense. But my brother works in retail, and people come in all the time without a clue. The other day somebody asked him if they had any 360 games in stock (at Target).

because people would look at the small box, see the 60 dollar price tag, and think "wow thats overpriced"

they made them bigger so they dont confuse people who are used to paying 30 bucks for 3ds games.

And games no longer come with an instruction booklet to justify the space.

Man, I miss reading those booklets for a new game when you can't play it just yet. Like on the ride on the bus from the store, etc (before I drove myself everywhere).

Actually, I would still read them at the red light).

Yeah.. pretty sure i used to do with that Xbox 360 games early this decade, (got mine in 2009) whilst the game was installing.

Agreed. Plus I find in-game tutorials kinda annoying.
Particularly when each new level introduces something, and the game begins to feel like one long tutorial.
