Oppression is always bad and there has never been a positive example of good oppression.

Yes, gamers should be punished for their violent, time-wasting hobby

Yes. We should be punished for our hobby! Punished hard! Preferably with whips or paddles. We... May have developed a bit of a complex considering how we get treated.

In all seriousness, no. They shouldn't be and it's silly to think that they should.

Not true. Especially depending on what you define 'oppression' as being. However, the fact is that the notion of 'oppression' being bad is because our modern zeitgeist in the west values things like diversity and sees things like the intermingling of cultures and religions as 'ideal'. This is not true across other cultures or history. For example; as much as we see the CCP oppressing, say, freedom in Hong Kong, to the CCP they're oppressing a dangerous revolutionary force in favor of national unity. In no way, shape, or form does that mean that the CCP has an argument/case (at the least they should be honoring their treaties). The point, instead, is that something people in places like America would see as a negative is a positive in a different culture and mindset.

That oppression is wrong. National Unity is not as important as catering to the vocal minorities...

Yup. Not to mention you ignored the whole point being that we see things like catering to the vocal minorities as 'right' specifically because we come from a culture where that's valued. A culture that values, say, security and stability would see that as terrible.
