I mean it's not like ALL of them have problems with him but he misgenders a trans person (FtM) a lot and one of my coworkers who is really cool to me gets upset with him. She was literally yelling at him at the end of my shift tonight and it got a bit crazy. He can be a bit of a dick.

But he is really cool to me. He gave me a $20 bill a few months ago because I was doing a good job and he usually lets me leave early. I don't want to fuck my reputation with him but I also feel like I should be looking out for my coworkers because solidarity and such.

It's Panera Bread. I just work there while finishing up my Masters. I've had the job since June 2018 because I needed a side hustle and I just never really bothered to quit or look for new jobs. It isn't THAT important but I can't really quit for a few more months without finding a new job, and no retail place will hire me now because I'm so close to getting my Masters. I finish my MS in June of next year but I was going to quit a few months before it once I have a tad bit more money saved up (already have a decent nest egg though).

Report him to corporate HR if you don't think talking to him directly is a good idea. Start documenting everything. What was said, when and where each statement was said, what you said, what anyone else said, any witnesses. These are most of the key questions they are gonna want to know.

I'd wait a bit a get several incidents down on paper before you report it. One or two incidents isnt always enough to be considered harassment. I actually just had to do a policy update training on this today for the commonwealth of Pennsylvania state policy on workplace harassment.
