I never wanted to spoil the surprise of opening my gifts on Christmas morning.

I did once, and I regretted it so much that I never did it again. My Dad had a badass red tractor he knew i wanted in the trunk of the Honda.I think he knew because in hindsight it was the only thing not wrapped under the tree that morning...i was like 6.

Way to ruin Christmas

although I'll admit feeling out "generals" on a box through the wrapping and being able to see the wrapping warped to spell such after pressing on it for a bit is peeking, theres some things you can't really blame a kid for, like pressing a button via "try me" packaging. its kind of hard to say that that's peeking when its so obvious

I accidentally found them in the basement before they were wrapped, and honestly, it just made me more hyped for Christmas. >_>

No. I found the stash too, but knew I'd hate to be spoiled. Always been like that.

Unboxed and played my PS2 every time I had a chance (parents out) and replaced the controller with my standard PS1 dual shock

Yes. I'd try to be clever and rip the smallest piece of the wrapping paper just to see what I got. I'd get myself hyped up.

But then the next day I'd discover those presents would be missing and I'd be crushed. Turns out I wasn't as clever as I thought, parents discovered the tears in the wrapping paper and hid them. Christmas day I'd open the remaining gifts but be disappointed.

Then before bed they'd tell me to close my eyes, then open them. And those gifts would be in front of me and they said I could open them, but next time I snooped they would take away the gifts for real.

5 year old me vowed to never snoop again.
