I dunno, I guess me personally I'm a person the kind of person who tries their best to make of the situation with the cards I am dealt with. Succumbing to being a villain because society beats you down is weakness IMO. Society beats all of us down, but we just gotta prevail.

Pretty sure the point is that Murray was totally right, Arthur was just desperate to find a rationalization for the actions he enjoyed doing.

Definitely enjoyed the film though, and I'd like to see Phoenix's Joker actually go up against Batman.

I doubt we will see it. This joker is a weak, mentally ill and abused, dejected person. I don't think he can be a villain to a Batman character like the usual joker.
