If I get a call from a number I don't recognize, I don't answer, then I look it up on whitepages and if it's been reported already, I make a fake reporting, saying shit like "they called and told me to vote for trump and threatened violence if I didn't" or "they called me the n word" because fuck 'em

The number of spam calls I got really cut down when I disabled my voicemail for about a year. After having to turn it back on due to work, I found I get very few anymore. Any that do make it through are spoofing with my hometown area codes so it's easy to ignore them.

Id be hesitant to do this these days since some scammers have begun spoofing real phone numbers to disguise themselves. yeah but those show up without previous reports so I don't bother making fake reports if the number is said to be legit, as I know it's spoofed (typically these calls use my area code and probably 75% use the same next 3 digits that I have, so it looks local. I know better but I feel like their targets are boomers who would pick up any call that looks local because it looks local) --- https://talktotransformer.com The Internet is kind of the whole ****ing Internet. ... yea, I usually don't answer my phone if I don't recognize the number, unless if the caller ID shows it's from a business/organization, and that has worked in the past
now I'm just going to let them leave messages regardless --- b-bb-box ... Copied to Clipboard!

If the SSA calls you, it's probably a scam and they spoof the actual number to the SSA as well.

Man, if you work at a business, you don't know the half of it. Phony Invoice attachments that give virues, doctored invoices made to look like a vender you already pay, people calling and asking for your IT employees to get access, people checking Linked In for employee names and pretending they worked with them in the past...it's nuts these days. The efforts made to fleece individuals are nothing compared to the insane efforts to hit businesses.
