Discuss.

That's wrong. Slacks are very comfortable to wear. Typically light fabric and breathable. If you are talking about a three piece suit, then perhaps I agree with you, but wearing a suit is also pretty comfy and makes me feel like a boss.

Jeans aren't ever comfortable, under any circumstance.

Wrong. Buy super stretch jeans like the rapid movement or traveler's from banana republic. Feels like wearing yoga pants

I usually wear casual chinos (think Dockers Alpha Khakis, if they're still called that); slash pockets feel more comfortable. Used to be all about selvedge and wearing in a pair of jeans, but now I just want quality stretch and free movement.

could be a couple reasons for me. i might be buying bad brands. and i'm not about that tucked shirt and tie life, which i also gotta do. not fair to entirely blame slacks, but yeah.

I can't find jeans my size at 6'4" 195

34/34 must be in short supply as stores just never carry that size.

They'll have 32/30, 38/30 40/32 and up... yet not a simple slim and tall size.

It's always fat and tall.

The fade is part of the appeal to many, especially as it's usually unique to the pair of jeans and the lifestyle of the owner.

I'll say I've never seen a pair of jeans marketed as never fading; though if you make them the way they've always made jeans, that is to say dying only part of the threads, it's pretty impossible to stop them from fading.
