37 y/o Former One Tree Hill Alum, Hilarie Burton has revealed that Hallmark FIRED her for a role they asked her to join because she requested more DIVERSITY in the casting, particularly, LGBTQ, Interracial Couples and they were ALL turned down as they told her "take it or leave it"..and she said No so they let her go and went with someone else.

The network is still in a firestorm despite reinstating the LGBT commercial that outraged the christian right who said the network was no longer family friendly for catering to "SJW" audiences demanding more diverse casting.

The network is known to cater to conservatives seeing as many of the movies were set in small towns and though the network is apolitical, it doesn't shy from the fact that it's popular among red cities.

Hilarie, who was best known for playing Peyton Sawyer on OTH said she walked away from the job after bosses refuses her demand and she went to LIFETIME network instead, who welcomed her requests and started starring in their movies which is a much more inclusive and diverse network.

She was uncomfortable with the "take it or leave it" response and decided to quit the network altogether as well as the paycheque as she said her husband, Walking Dead Star, Jeffrey Dean Morgan had to pay the bills for awhile....

The film she was asked to join was a military themed movie and she mentioned the military is dear to her heart but could not be with a network that refuses to be inclusive.

Hilarie was then approached by Lifeitme who asked her to star in their movies and made her second film, A Christmas Wish with the network and couldn't be happier.

One Million Moms, the christian freaks who started the campaign to boycott Hallmark has not made any statement on Hallmark reinstating the LGBT ads but the network is still receiving heat from both sides

Hilarie says the network's anti-inclusiveness comes from the top and says they are responsible for the mess they are in

Many of the films have filmed in Canada as Hilarie starred in several of them before she left the network. Her last film with them was Summer in the Villa that filmed in Montreal, Canada.

It's not known what will happen from this fallout as Hallmark starts damage control in the new year

Yeah, she was fired about like Capernick was fired. She QUIT, LEFT, CHOSE TO NOT BE INVOLVED. There's a big difference between being canned and walking away for not getting your way. Besides, this was in January, but she's bringing it up now? And her husband doesn't "work his ass off". He's an overpaid actor (a good one, don't get me wrong), but he isn't working construction of anything difficult.

I don't get this mentality. Why is work that isn't labor intensive not difficult? Why discount potentially 16+ hour days that actors have to work, with changing shifts between days and nights depending on what needs to be filmed? Is that not considered hard work and dedication?

I can understand thinking they're overpaid, but this weird gatekeeping of what is considered hard work and what isn't is just wrong.
