Our impeachment is taken from the British model of impeachment. In the 243 years we have been a country we have impeached two Presidents, maybe three next week, a Secretary of War, a Senator, a Supreme Court Justice, and 14 judges. In the 100 or so years before we were a country the British impeached something like 300 people. Basically, we're doing it wrong. People always seem to forget the misdemeanor part of "high crimes and misdemeanors." Misdemeanor doesn't mean something is an actual crime. It means bringing shame to the office or being of low moral character, basically your character not being worthy of the position you hold.
