Its origins matter in the way people react to it. Obviously, Im not talking about actual racists using it. Im talking about cases like the OP, where idiots will misconstrue any use of it. Getting worked up like that just legitimizes it as a racist symbol.

Examples: The KKK uses ranks such as wizard, magi and knight, therefore any RPG and like half of all games in general must be made by KKK members.
