She hasn't played a 3D game before, and basically isn't moving the camera around. She completely ignored the old man, and hasn't gotten a weapon, but she did find a bow atop the Temple of Time and got to the first tower.

botw is a good game for non-gamers because all of the "rules" of the game are really intuitive and stuff reacts kind of predictably. so you find yourself applying real-world logic to the game instead of trying to figure out how the game systems all work
