Re3 remake was recently revealed to be in the works.

so do you think RE4 is in planning or no?

IMO re4 is a timeless game and doesnt need a remake. I still play it to this day.

but id like to be pleasantly surprised if they decided to remake it and do something new

Its probably because I played it over a decade after it came out but I never got the big deal with RE4. Id rather play virtually any of the old games over it

There's plenty to redo.

However it will be under super scrutiny compared the Re2 and Re3 remakes.

Think of it this way. If enough years go by, they'll remake RE2 again.

I think they'll do 3 and CV then do remasters of those Remakes for the time being

That's why I would buy the originals because they'll probably never see the light of day again

they should remake it into the classic RE style with static angles and prerendered backgrounds!

The million dollar question is if they use the new engine to remake 1 and 0 with the same style as 2

3 and CV are locks and will probably both be out in the next 2 years.

I think 4, 5, 6, and 7 will never be touched because they probably play the way Capcom wants them to

There's money in it, so absolutely they will remake it. Only question in my head is if they remake Code Veronica and/or Zero after they remake 3 first or if they go straight from 3 to 4.

And if you feel that 4 is timeless and not remotely capable of gameplay upgrades, I would highly recommend you replay it to refresh your memory. The game is absolutely dated in some areas, and not just graphically.

I'm not claiming it isn't still fun. Plenty of older and outdated games are.

You don't have to be as badly aged as Goldeneye to have room for improvement in a remaster, though. Heck, the original RE2 is still fun in my book.
