Nu-Metal, although I admit I didn't realize Sevendust fell into that category. Been a while since I heard them though.

Probably numetal if stuff like Lamb of God is considered numetal these days.

I just hate how the labels fucking change or people even give a shit about them sometimes.
Wikipedia- In the mid-2000s, metalcore became one of the most popular heavy metal subgenres with the success of bands like Bleeding Through, Avenged Sevenfold, Killswitch Engage, Hatebreed, Atreyu, Shadows Fall, As I Lay Dying, Unearth, Trivium, Bullet for My Valentine, and All That Remains. Metalcore's popularity continued in the 2010s with the success of bands like Asking Alexandria, August Burns Red, and The Devil Wears Prada. Well I hate most of those bands but I mean As I Lay Dying was cool live (years back before their singer tried to murder his wife). Actually Unearth had 2 good records imo. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Asking Alexandria, Devil Wears Prada.
There's good Metalcore like the first wave Hardcore stuff. Earth Crisis, Converge. Then there's the awesome Gothenburg stuff so Killswitch, As I Lay Dying. But if we're talking "guilty pleasure" (I personally am not ashamed of what I listen to) I'm taking Attack Attack! over Limp Bizkit any day. --- I'm in Chicago, I'm shaking my head. ... I've heard a few metalcore albums I liked (granted it's been years and I struggle to really remember them well <_<) though if you stick to the more mainstream stuff it's not for me at all. The cheesy hair metal bands I mostly don't really dislike, that style of music is fine by me in small doses. Can't think of any nu-metal I've enjoyed, at least not since before my tastes in music changed a lot.

Hair metal. There's a ton of it I enjoy. I only like a few nu and metalcore songs. Lots of hair metal bands are underrated talent wise.
