She front-loaded her campaign with a metric fuckton of policy and is now playing the typical politician game of relatability and empathy, and will probably continue this into the primary.

I've personally never understood the insistence that presidential candidates need extensive and detailed policy proposals when they're not running for a legislative position. Like, some general ideas of how they'd run the various agencies under the executive branch (a lot of which need to be separated from the executive branch but that's something that has to go through Congress) is fine, but what is the point of them "proposing" actual legislation when that's not the job they're applying for?
Also, as stated in the article, no one votes on policy. Otherwise Republicans wouldn't be winning elections anywhere. --- Aeris dies if she takes more damage than her current HP - Panthera https://signavatar.com/26999_s.png ... Copied to Clipboard!

She was doing fine actually until she revealed her actual healthcare plan, which was trashed by both the left and the right for being unrealisticShe spent months waffling on whether or not she supported Bernie's plan, then unveiled a MfA plan that eschewed (modest) middle income tax increases in favor of a head tax on employers that could potentially be easily evaded by just converting employees into "independent contractors". Then she walked that back, proposing to pass a healthcare plan reminiscent of what Biden and Buttigieg have proposed and THEN doing MfA after mid-terms, as though it would be easier then(spoiler alert: the incumbent president's party almost always loses seats in the mid-term elections!) I mean, it is true that Bernie's Medicare for All plan is extremely unlikely to pass as-is during his theoretical presidency, but the point of having such a proposal is to demonstrate that, if he could, Bernie would go all the way, and that gives me confidence he's not just going to meekly(or, as Obama did, enthusiastically) sign whatever Pelosi, Schumer, and the health insurance and pharmaceutical industries cobble together and declare the matter settled in perpetuity. ...
