For a nowhere backwater planet on the outer rim it gets a lot of action.

Makes sense. If you're trying to get away from Bounty Hunters you'd probably try and find your way to planet just like that.

Yeah, but if that is the backwater planet that EVERYONE goes to, then maybe it shouldn't be the one where a person trying to lay low goes to.

It's a good thing not Everyone goes there then. Almost every appearance deals with Tatooine natives. I think you're over-exaggerating how often we see it. At least as far as canon goes, it's not used all too frequently without good reason.

The use of Tatooine is pretty consistent despite showing up a lot. They escape Naboo and hide there to fix their ship. They meet Anakin, who returns years later to find his mom. There he meets his adoptive brother Lars, who Obi Wan brings Luke to and hides along with.

Luke grows up and Mon Mothma asks Bail Organa for Obi Wan's help, so he sends Leia, who drops the droids on Tatooine. They meet Han there, who is tied to the Hutts. He gets captured by Fett and he's brought back to Jabba. They save him.

However, the use of it in this was kind of an asspull lol.

Sadly Giancarlo is likely the most obvious choice but I was trying to hold out hope for Fett since the entire show seems to have been developed off the failed pre-OT Fett movie plans. He also had the same walking boots sound he had in TESB.

I know Giancarlo is in it, but he didn't seem to be wearing Mandalorian armor in the brief trailer shot and this guy did.

Yeah, I love Mando, way more than Fett, but it was never 100% confirmed Fett is dead. He's still being digested on that very planet, but he could have easily escaped like he did in the old EU way before.

Fett would be an interesting villain for season 2, which is already filming. They haven't really established any big villain yet.

I always thought the Fetts were overrated because they used mandalorian armor, and Jango was far more competent

I think if they need a real threat then they should canonize Durge, or send a sith lord after them

Interesting! I couldnt distinguish it as particularly that type of armor.

As much as I'm enjoying the series, it's starting to lose me with the lack of a plot. Each episode has pretty much been the same since leaving with Baby Yoda.

Land on a planet, get involved in the town issues, things go wrong, have to leave the planet.

Yeah, same. Its fun to watch and everything but it really hasnt gripped me, prinarily for that reason. The last two episodes in particular just felt like filler. I will say the side characters felt more natural/believable in this episode than in Ch. 4, at least.

Oh yeah Im not saying youre wrong, just that I dont have the knowledge necessary to make that disinction (doesnt help that I have to watch on my phone, either, lol).

Thats a really neat catch, the sound effect.

As for which Sith Lord, Darth Maul is still alive at this point, right? And didnt he conquer Mandalore?

I think the show could have benefitted from Mando picking up side characters here and there as a crew, like the guild leader, the I have spoken guy, baby yodas doctor, the bounty droid, Cara Dune etc like a really shaky alliance
