Lets say there are two people, one who is all skin and bone and one who is obese. Both work their ass off and get a Captain America/DBZ/Lebron James type physique.

Which of those 2 people had the tougher goal?

The obese person. They're losing weight and bulking up. As opposed to just bulking up. I believe the former takes more effort and self-control.

I haven't done any sort of physical fitness since i entered my twenties, but i can sleep easy saying that if your body isnt genetically predisposed to bulking up, you just cant do it.
I diligently worked out with weights and shit for 4 years and all I ever got was more definition and density, but never bulk. My body just doesn't have those kinds of muscle fibers.
So if the twiggy boy managed to bulk up he had to have put in some serious fuckin work

You gain weight by eating, not by lifting weights.

If the obese dude can cut and still have a good physique and not have that skinny fat look to him then I'm impressed.

I still second that its harder to gain weight. I've struggled with this myself. I used to workout hard AF during my late teen years and into my early twenties. The best body type I could realistically achieve would be like Kevin Durant's, and even though he's athletic AF, muscular is probably the last word that would be used to define him.
