I walked around the town and every bar had a line out the door. Some had about 50 people waiting to pay a 20 dollar cover to have the privilege to buy drinks for probably 10+ dollars a drink. Holy fuck. Its nights like this I am thankful I dont have a taste for alcohol. Tastes like piss

Like, I get that people want to go out and mingle but like, fuck. You're waiting in line for an hour in the freezing cold, so you can pay money to get into a crowded-ass bar where you have to pay MORE money to drink, can barely hear the conversation you're having with people, and then complain later or the next day about hangovers/tinnitus. Fuck there are better ways to meet people lol.

I do NOT miss those days lol.

I love bars but this is absolutely my worst idea of a bar. Sounds more like a club but where people don't bother dancing.

A bar to me is a nice place to get out the house, catch up with folk and soak in some culture. Somewhere busy enough for atmosphere but not so busy that I need to wait more than a minute or two to be served. Maybe even some live music.

All of the bars are like what you want, its just that all of the college and high school students are out and they want to drink so they charge a cover for last night. They never usually have covers

Haha, I will admit I did not pay 850 since I got a good deal. It was the last one they had and it happened to be my size but that is the MSRP. I believe in spending more for quality. You can buy cheapass Payless sneakers that May last a month or two and be uncomfortable. Or you can spend 150 on some lit sneakers that feel like clouds and last way longer.
But I will be the first to admit I go way overboard on how much I pay haha

Im not even sure how the Payless example is relevant. I understand not buying shitty jeans that feel like sandpaper on your legs but $850? You couldnt find a good pair for $20-$150? Im not even sure where tf you would have to go to buy a pair of jeans over $200.

On topic, bars can be good. Lol if youre paying cover though. Only shitty bars charge cover the entire night.
