I am unhappy that I am 30 years old and I only got 4 GCSE, that is why when I fail my exams I get annoyed. That is why while I am waiting to get my results for my maths exam is really annoying and irritating.

Everyone I know has got all their qualifications, degree, high pay job permanent, married, able to go on holiday easy, etc, while I can't do that.

I know that my health is better now thanks to immunotherapy, but those are 12 years I can't get back. Any failure means delay in my plans.

I work from 09:00-17:00 then at 18:00 I have class at college once a week. That isn't a lot of studying to do. I am only doing 1 subject since I really want to get GCSE Maths out of the way to make it 5.

You don't have to do full blown college ya know? Just get a cert in what you like.

I know but I don't like how it takes longer. Best case scenario I won't be able to go to University until I am in my 35 and that is assuming I don't fail my GCSE Maths and 2 A Levels.

Eh, you can't compare yourself to other people.

Even if you feel you're way behind and you end up not getting any of the stuff you really want until you're 40 or so, what's the alternative? Just never getting it at all. Better late than never imo.

I'm in the same boat pretty much. It sucks but you only get one life so you have to make the most of what you get.

Yep, you will NEVER be happy no matter how much you achieve if you base your happiness and satisfaction in life by comparisons to other people.

I guess your right about not comparing, it just annoying all this waiting.

While I am at work wasting me time and energy, I could be using that time to get those qualifications ASAP. But sadly I need cash to survive.

Getting 1 qualifications a year is so slow, since I only do 1 subject. I used to do two but with my health that was bad. I might do 2 subject depending how my health is.

Edit I am just scared of failing, I am so scared I just dont know what to think.

Do you even have a job in what you want to work in? You should have at least started with that by now, at least to get entry-level. Job experience will be far, far, far more valuable than anything learned in a class.

Don't wrack up more credits and certifications...work on your interview and personal skills. Those will help in ANY job. It's sad seeing how many folks don't realize that simple self-confidence and gift-of-gab can you very far in this world, regardless of other skills. You can know everything about a job but if someone else is able to charm the pants off an interviewer more than you then guess who's getting that job?

What part am I lying? What makes you think I am lying?

I assume he means the self-loathing and negative parts like how you "can't do that" and "any failure is a delay." These are just defeatist lies you tell to yourself to justify failure. It's not healthy.

I have been in two jobs, one that I had to leave since it closed down and went to another country and now working. I enjoy the job I am working at now. Although I am not permanent, since I lack qualifications and skills required to be permanent. Dont get me wrong I have skills in computers and making website, but not enough.

The people working gains double the money than what I make, those who has their qualifications, degree and skills.

I had the plan to get all the qualifications needed when I was in college, which at the time I was 18.

I want to get those qualifications as soon as possible, failing doesnt accomplish that goal. No excuse will accomplish that goal.
