I just realized why I still feel bloated even 4-5 hours after eating, because of that damn white rice. When I eat other meals without rice I dont get that stomach bloated feeling.

And then a friend shared a similar feeling when it came to eating rice. So I suspect that the rice is the culprit for that full, bloated feeling. Never again. It's always been just a filler in the meal anyhow

Lentils are also lazy beans, because you don't have to soak them for several hours.

Lentils are also lazy beans, because you don't have to soak them for several hours.

meh, soaking black beans or whatever isn't that much effort though. you just do it in a big pot overnight and drain it in the morning.

Soaking usually works, however this one time I tried some store brand beans that were really tough and refused to cook even when boiling for several hours, and they were soaked almost a full day before boiling.

Any tips for beans that won't boil properly?

Edit sorry meant usually. Also yeah is that the term simmer? That's what I meant, it's where I put them on the stove and leave it on lowest heat for an hour while occasionally stirring
