How do you make it not be just liquid inside, then?

Ugh I think it's ready but the spoontula won't freaking go under the thing

It goes like an inch and then it just starts pushing the thing out of the skillet/crushing it against the wall.

Ok I grabbed some tongs to pull the bastard up onto the spoontula. It tore a bit but it didn't break in half.

Dont do the omelette with too high heat. The surface will be almosy set, still bit liquid, fold it and let it cook a minute then let it rest a while before consuming the heat has set the liquid parts.

It's a word I just made up

It's a spoon so big I used it like a spatula.

All our real spatulas are in the wash.

Get a nice nonstick pan, use plenty of butter, and flip it with your wrist. It's pretty easy. Spatulas and big-ass spoons are just asking for trouble.

So you're having a hard time knowing when to flip and not the actual flip? If you can move it around easily with just rolling your wrist its ready to flip.

bro
just get a dozen eggs and break them one at a time into a pan and practice flipping them with your wrist
it should only take you like 5-10 eggs to master it
and omelets will be easy for the rest of your life
come on

Ok good tip

Though yeah the flip itself is a problem too but I was hoping knowing the proper timing would help.
