The movie still looks awful but they fixed the model well :)

I mean...to be honest, the design was really the only reason keeping me from actually going to SEE the movie.

They dialed that back so I don't see any reason not to watch it, at least. Give it a fair judgment.

The design was the only memorable thing the movie had, tbqh.

Also, the fact that the poster gives the human sidekick's actor top billing, but doesn't even name the voice actor of the main fucking character is kind of bullshit.

It was scary as hell. More than it not being reflective of Sonic at all, I just found it off-putting entirely. The beady eyes, the way his mouth moved, his general physique, those ugly sneakers. It's like they had a child wear a costume then made a CGI render of it.

Oh it absolutely was. But I love horror >.>;

That said, this is a really damn good adaptation from source to film. Not passable, but fantastic. But it's being wasted in a movie that's just looking to make a quick buck on a child audience, which might not even do that as it doesn't have the popularity for it.

I wish his arms weren't blue, though. They actually gave him gloves and the correct sneakers so it's clear they were in tune with what the source material looks like but they stood firm on that.

Looks fantastic, but yeah its still probably going to be a terrible movie. If this movie turns out good, it might be the biggest 180 ive seen for a movie yet.

The proportions are still off, presumably because of how the movie was shot. He should be shorter and have a more compact torso.

Yeah. Of course, listening to fans too much can be a bad thing, but generally you need to take criticism and apply it when appropriate. Sonic fans claiming that the character design looks like horseshit is pretty valid, I think.
