Just an unnecessary appendix removal and two surgeries to remove worms. Pretty sure part of the intestine was permanently damaged but he doesn't go into it. He made a recovery.

It wasn't even the dumpster part, it can happen to anyone that eats raw fish that wasn't first frozen which is the scary part. Insanely prevalent in Japan according to the video. If you make it yourself or go to a reputable establishment you have a better idea of what you're getting, but even then.. still a risk.

Getting harder and harder to not eat contaminated food these days. Constant e. coli and salmonella outbreaks and such too. >_>
