How long did it take for them to send you tracking info? We sent it the other night, and still haven't got anything. We had trouble with one joycon, so we bought another. Then we had trouble with THAT one.

Please forgive my ignorance, but what's the drift issue? I haven't used my Switch enough to have noticed anything.

Its when you leave the joysticks at a neutral position and they default move to the right or the left.

You stand still in a game and through no input on your end the character begins to move in one direction.

Its happened to one of my joycons its really unfortunate.

You basically can't. Video game stuff returned opened to Wal Mart is only ever replaced by another like item. Unopened items can only be returned for store credit. Either you're buying another set of joycons or you're playing it on the small screen (or not at all). I'm assuming you can play it in handheld mode, right?

the opposite - once you have joycon drift, there is no handheld mode. only playing docked with a pro controller.

i've had drift for months and have just stopped using the switch in handheld mode but there is pokemon in a week i should really do something about it

I work a shitty it helpdesk job and I can play the switch when I'm not too busy. So not being able to play handheld mode is not gonna work for me.

Plus it's just one of those things you want to nip in the bud sooner rather than later y'know

I got mine back in 3, 4 weeks? But I had three sets and only two of them had drift so I was still fully functional.

Honestly, their price is insane. Nintendo should cut it by half.
I was in Japan and wanted to buy a Joy Con pair, and in Japan it's supposed to be the cheapest, and it was still damn expensive

Cut the fucking price by half. This is the difference between "I won't buy it" and "hmm, I don't really need it, but it doesn't cost too much, so why not"
And the difference between "fuck, I will send it to repair for two weeks and play on my PS4 instead" and "I'll send it to repair but buy another set of Joy Cons"

I'm pretty sure the last time you could get a controller for half the price of a joy-con was PS2 era. That was wired, had no motion controls, and there's been plenty of inflation since. They could maybe knock 10-15 off, but not half off. And since this is now the era of even more personalized controller color schemes the lower batch production of certain shells and buttons may even make that cut impossible.

Nintendo is shipping our Joy-Cons back to us today. So it didn't take too long. Now it's just a matter of UPS getting them back to us.
