Except for the first two weeks or so when they sound like they're dying all the time... babies are really great.
I recommend taking additional care to stay calm during those first two weeks or so, even though the baby is barely cognoscente or responsive, your behaviors/colours/smells/sounds and such will persist as nostalgic forgotten memories. --- "Salt cures Everything!"
