I just picked up a programmable pressure cooker from Aldi for under $30 after sales tax. At that price I just couldn't pass it up.

The only experience I have with using a pressure cooker was the monstrosity from the 1970s my grandmother used to can stuff, which is totally different from this.

Does anyone have any good recipes that make use of a pressure cooker/Instant Pot-type device?

You can do easy chicken and rice with broccoli and cheese

Just sear the chicken and cook an onion in the pot, then add chicken broth and rice and cook it on high pressure for 10 minutes

Then just mix in some steamed broccoli and whatever kind of cheese you like

The instructions mentioned something about making stew in 30 minutes and I'm amazed. The last time I made stew it took hours.

That's the magic of pressure. Everything works faster when it's under pressure.
