"Say Kev. This is Rick. You may want to give your buddy donna a heads up cuz shes being really disrespectful, and if she doesn't start being cordial....etc.

Didn't know how to respond and he followed up with
"Lol nevermind. Ill do it myself"

Then i felt i HAD TO respond

"Yo man, sorry I couldn't respond, I've been busy with family shit. Look man, I'll try talking to her, but I can't promise anything. Not even management staff can make people be cordial. My best advice is just to ignore her if she doesn't get better. You guys don't have to be nice to each other you guys just have to be able to work together. "

He responded with

"Like i said, nevermind. Forget i even mentioned it. I didnt ask her for anything and i noticed shes cool with everyone BUT me. So it makes it look personal, like "What did i do to you?" Anyways, yesterday was a bit of a drunk text so feel free to disregard and thanks for acknowledging the text"

Should i report this to management? I know he's already gotten into it with a girl at work, i actually heard them cursing at each other at one point.

Honestly, i don't think i'm in a high enough position to tell him how to talk to others in an official capacity. I don't know if i should tell an official manager about it, or the guy (one of my buddies) who is working with the managers on a regular basis. I had already kinda mentioned to him to be on the lookout for Rick's behavior, but i think these messages help justify my concerns. I don't think an official report is required, but DO think management should be aware.

If this is not the first incident, then it's time to report. Dude needs help, and he's not going to get it as long as things keep on keeping on the way they are. It sucks, because things may get worse for him before they get better, but the cycle has to be broken.

What a weak and worthless post. Letting asswipes act like shitbags at work is what cowards do. Nobody should have to tolerate trash at the workplace. I oversee projects with lots of hot-headed types, but I have oceans more respect for the men that report scumbags than I do the scumbags. I don't want trash on my crews, and neither do those men.

Is she allow to wear shorts at work? He seems a bit awkward.

Professionalism needs to be conducted at work. I find today this lacks. People in groups at times talk about racist things or even politics. This should be done off work property.

I myself have issues with people at times including women who treated me like crap in the past so I acted like an asshole towards them including my ex who I cussed off. In the end 2 wrongs don't make a right. And there are good women in this world along with bitches and the same implies to men. As both genders have good and bad people. I find the best approach in a toxic relationship is to communicate and if necessary end the relationship than someone becoming an asshole. However there are times when you do need to have a back bone.

In a situation which I see at times at work when people don't get along they need to be reminded they are a team and by working effectively together it's helping the company out otherwise things can start to go downhill. If someone's attitude doesn't change when they have been talked to then they need to be let go. The previous IT guy at my work was like in his late 20s getting upset at employees over minor computer stuff since quite a few people didn't grow up in the internet era like me. Instead of doing his job and professionally helping he'd lose his cool. He is no longer with the company. Our new IT individual is a lot better.

It's their job to make sure that he is able to communicate his feelings in a non threatening manner and that they can come to a solution. Tell him that women can find how he talks a little aggressive and recommend HR go with him.

Dude is actually trying his best to be an adult here. He's just going about it poorly. HR is there for that shit. They're not just there to get people in trouble. Make sure he knows what HR is for too.
