"Perhaps before lunch," you say. "We'll get up, have breakfast, and head for the voodoo temple."

"Alright," she shrugs. "So maybe we can go out for breakfast, too?"

"Certainly," you say. "A nice diner for some eggs and bacon, save some money by not using room service."

"So like a Denny's or IHOP?"

"Yes, if there's one we can find."

"Where was the voodoo temple again?" she asks.

"I believe it was on North Rampart Street off Esplanade. We can get back there rather easily. I'm just not sure what we'd do once we find real-life voodoo magic."

"Um... Actually, I'm not really sure, either. I guess it could be like the Museum of Death, where we just look at it all and gain an appreciation for it."

"Yes, of course," you say. "Just like that."

"Don't get snarky about it now," she smirks.

"Then let's talk about the restaurant," you say. "Like, a logo perhaps."

"Yes, a logo!" she says. "Now, if you're calling it the 'Magical Melting Pot', I think you should obviously incorporate a cooking pot of some kind."

"Right," you say. "Though, I think we were just calling it 'Magic Melting Pot,' but 'Magical' sounds nice, too."

You take out your sketch pad and art supplies.

"What kind of cooking pot?" you ask in a mostly rhetorical tone. "There are many kinds of pots, so how about...?"

"Looks nice," Raven says. "Color scheme would of course have some black and white, right?"

"Yes," you say. "At the very least, the word 'Pot' is in white on top of the pot itself, which is filled in black."

"Will there be a soup or a stew filling the pot?" she asks.

"No, that might make things too busy. Less is more if this is to be on a business card, a printed advertisement, or even a television commercial."

"Oh, true. So where does 'Magical Melting' play into it then?"

"Hmm... A cooking pot... The soup or stew would have the steam rising from it. Maybe we make 'Magical Melting' be the steam wisps."

You think about the steam rising in wavy lines but you aren't sure how to make it turn into the letters.

"That just looks ugly," you grumble.

"Maybe lowercase?" Raven suggests. "Uppercase M's are very angular but lowercase m's are curvy."

"Yes, yes, that's a good idea," you say. "And... Perhaps we shouldn't have them be straight up and down. The lowercase m's can be the steam as it rises."

"Yeah, I like it!" Raven says. "I can picture that glowing like a neon sign on the window or even on top of the building. The building would need to be dark grey or even red brick to stand out, though."

"Yes, that would be nice," you say. "But that will be more of a concern once a building is chosen and made to be the restaurant."

"I'd definitely go with brick," Raven says.

"Okay, we can look for brick," you chuckle. "We'll have it be a tall building so there's plenty of space to put a neon sign up."

"Yes, like an old warehouse converted to be a restaurant," Raven says. "Have an upper level for private party, VIP type seating."

"Yes, that would be good," you say. "The higher seating prices would help make a profit if done right."

You tuck away your sketch and put away your pencils. With a huge step taken towards your restaurant, you...

You go to the bathroom to brush your teeth and wash your face. You'll shower in the morning but you need to feel a little refreshed for tonight.

"Just turning in, huh?" Raven asks.

"Well, I figured we'll need our energy for your voodoo adventure," you say as you return to your bed.

"No, it's fine," she says. "I did a lot of dancing so I need some sleep, too."

Raven stretches her legs as she gets up.

"I'm going to shower," she says as she brings out a towel.

"Oh, um, okay," you say.

Raven goes into the bathroom and shuts the door. You hear the water turn on and just wait now as Raven surely strips down and steps into the shower.

You distract yourself from the lewd knowledge with television. The local news naturally has the musical incident, with a lot of interviews from witnesses.

"This guy dressed in purple was singin' and people was dancin'," one woman says. "It was really weird, but also really fun, so I, I don't know what to make of it, y'know?"

"Where did that guy even go?" a man asks no one in particular. "He disappears and it all stops so what ... Was he the one doing it? Was this another metahuman case? Could we get an explanation please?"

You can understand a random citizen's frustration, such things like this happen without warning and it can be scary. You wonder just how many people feel this way.

Obviously with you having taken Dennis away and turned him over to Titans South, no one in New Orleans knows Dennis' identity or whereabouts, so the city is still on the lookout for him.

You hear the shower turn off, and Raven exits the bathroom moments later, wrapped in her towel. As she goes to her bed, you politely cover your eyes.

"Good to see you're behaving yourself," she says.

"Just trying to make it up to you," you say.

"You don't have to," she says. "You've seen me naked."

"Yes, but it seems improper to just look at you naked so casually. It should be special."

Raven is quiet while rummaging through her luggage.

"Are you at least smiling?" you ask, making her laugh.

"Yes, I smiled," she says with a chuckle. "I... Would 'appreciate' be the right word?"

"Depends. What do you appreciate?"

"That you want to keep things so special between us."

"Then yes, that is good usage of 'appreciate.' And you're welcome."

She chuckles again and you hear her sit down.

"You can open your eyes," she says.

You put your hand down and open your eyes, and you look over to see her in just a tiny T-shirt and panties!

"R-Raven!?" you say in surprise. "What're you-"

"Relax," she says. "It's hot, okay? I'm dressing light because of that."

"Well, that's true," you say. "Just surprised there's no shorts..."

"But not disappointed," she says with a smirk.

"Also true."

"Hmm..." Raven says as she gets up and walks over. "I wonder. Can you behave yourself?"

She sits beside you on your bed, those lovely, lovely legs within reach.

"Well, Rorek," she says. "Can you?"

Your hands raise up but you force them back down.

"Yes..." you say with reluctance.

Raven giggles and rests her head on your shoulder.

"Good boy," she says.

She gives you a kiss on the cheek then goes back to her bed.

"Good night, Rorek," she says as she rests her head on her pillow.

"Good night, Raven," you say as you go to the lamp.

You turn off the lights and settle into your bed for the night.

You wake up the next morning, just after 8:30. You take your own shower and are feeling extra fresh as you step out. You wrap your towel around you and head back to the main room.

"Mmm...!" Raven says, still lying on her bed.

You look over at her, on her side in a very slinky, seductive way. She sits up from this position and looks at you, biting her lower lip.

"Hey now," you say. "Don't look at me like a piece meat. At least, not before breakfast."

Raven giggles as she gets up and picks out clothes for the day.

"So where do you feel like going?" she asks.

"I wouldn't mind trying a local chain," you say. "We'll see what we can find in the general area of the voodoo temple."

Raven dresses casually for the day, as do you. The two of you exit your room, ride the elevator down and exit the hotel to return to the parking lot. You hop on Shadowfax and head for Esplanade Avenue.

You don't go all the way to North Rampart just yet. You turn off to the side, down Burgundy Street, and see what diners there are to choose from. You only find one as you go along the bend.

"The Ruby Slipper Cafe," Raven says. "Oh, like the Wizard of Oz ruby slippers. I like it."

"Then the Ruby Slipper Cafe it is," you say.

You pull up, park and put in enough quarters for a couple hours into the meter. You then go inside and find a spot by the windows.

"Welcome to the Ruby Slipper," a waitress says. "You aren't over 21 are you?"

"No, we're not," you say. "Is that okay?"

"Yes, that's okay," she says. "I just won't need to give you the adult drink menu. Here is the family drink menu."

"Thank you," you say as you take those.

"And the main menu," she says as she hands you two more.

"Thank you," you say again.

"Would you like to start with drinks?" the waitress asks.

"Certainly," you say as you check the drink menu.

"I don't think I need to tell you this," you say, "but voodoo is very tricky. Perhaps the trickiest magic to ever exist."

"Of course I know that," Raven says. "But you have something for it, don't you?"

"Well, I should've told you this when I did it," you say, "but I already prepared your cloak and belt with anti-voodoo enhancements."

"You did? When?"

"Real late a couple nights ago," you say.

"Oh. I really do wish you had, then. But it isn't anything that'll be awkward, is it?"

"No, I made sure it'd be almost unnoticeable."

"Which is probably why you didn't think to tell me, huh?" she smirks.

"It was going to be a nice surprise when the enchantments canceled out whatever curses we encountered," you say.

"Oh well when you put it that way," she smirks again.

The two of you share a little laugh before taking sips of your respective drinks.

"Mmm~," Raven says. "I like it. Would you have specialty drinks for the Magic-slash-Magical Melting Pot?"

"Hmm, possibly," you say. "We can certainly have coffee on the menu and go from there."

"That would be fun," she says. "We can work together on the recipes."

"Because you want to taste test them?"

"Obviously."

You two laugh some more and then the waitress returns with your side dishes. You each have your sausages and you have your scrambled eggs.

"Thank you," you say before the waitress heads to other tables.

You use your fork and stab the eggs to pop some in your mouth.

"How are they?" Raven asks as she cuts a piece off from the sausage.

"Good," you say. "Very good. But back to our voodoo conversation, there are some other tricks that can't be done with a simple enchantment. Those things are on stand-by, but we might need something more manually activated."

"So you have extra tricks up your sleeve?" she asks.

"A few," you say.
