Meaning after rent/mortgage, taxes, groceries, savings, etc. how much money do you have each month to do whatever you want with? I just bought a place and am figuring out my budget.

$35 right now.

We bought our new house before selling our old house, so payments are keeping the budget tight until we refinance.

we dont have much either 50$ at best.

hard times because of the dog, any extra money is going to her food budget since i don't know where her food allergy stems from.

it's either the treats or her dog food. i'm supposed to test each one week after week to see if she flares up.
edit: so far it isn't beef, eggs, cheese or rice.

I try to only get like one thing for myself a month max no matter how much it costs

also I try to keep the thing as cheap as possible lol so maybe it's a new game, maybe it's a new headset, maybe it's just some fast food depends on how I'm feeling and how much money I feel like wasting without it being an issue

Looking at my half assed budgeting I could give myself between $500-800 a month to blow on dumb shit and still be able to save

But in reality I just buy whatever whenever as long as I know it isn't a dumb purchase that will set me back. Spent $140 on games yesterday just because of a CE topic I stumbled across so I guess no more of that until next month

Yeah I don't spend much so I don't think I'll have to worry about keeping my spending within a certain number.

After everything you mentioned in the OP, probably like $500 but I try not to ever spend that much extra.

Going through this thread makes me realize how much my hard work has paid off... After I pay my mortgage, all utility bills, car, insurance, and groceries, I am left with $1680 to spend on whatever I choose. I am also single... If I had a girlfriend/wife and split my bills, sheesh... I purchased a very nice home and car so they take out together a nice chunk from my income.

$600-1000+ a month

$600 if I decide not to Uber that month. If I do I make sure I make at least $400 so I can have an even $1000 in fun money.

Oh if we're talking about the max I could blow a month, its double what I said. I was just trying to put roughly 1k into savings each month after everything while still buying $500-800 of dumb shit

Car finally paid off earlier this month so assuming no emergencies happen that's an extra $350 a month saved
